The PhD in Educational Studies is offered jointly with the University of Western Ontario, University of Windsor and Lakehead University. This unique partnership opens the door to advanced education studies for students from diverse geographic corners of the province.
The program offers three areas of specialization — Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Social/Cultural/Political Contexts of Education, and Cognition and Learning.

The interdisciplinary nature of the Social Justice and Equity Studies program prepared me for my current position in community development and education. I was able to align the causes I strongly believe in with my formal studies and also participate in a three-month internship and conduct fieldwork abroad.
Brock is the only university in Canada to offer an MA program in Social Justice and Equity Studies. It is an exceptional program for students who want to be part of finding solutions to problems that plague society.

The unique nature of this program led me to continue to pursue my education at Brock University. The faculty members are one of the primary reasons this program has such appeal. It is a department of individuals with multidisciplinary experiences who offer excellent research opportunities.
The MA in Child and Youth Studies stands apart from other programs in Ontario for its multidisciplinary approach to the study of issues related to children and youth.
