Doctorate in Educational Leadership at University Of California Davis
Offered in partnership with Sonoma State University, the CANDEL program is intended primarily for working professionals in leadership positions and can be completed within three years. Within a cohort system, students will rely on their collective experiences to supplement the formal learning process and will be enrolled in a common sequence of core courses. Approximately equal numbers of students in each cohort will focus either on pre-schoolgrade 12 issues or on higher education leadership with a community college emphasis. Program delivery methods will include traditional classroom instruction as well as distance-learning components to further support working professionals’ needs. Occasional seminars and workshops during the week require a flexible schedule and a supportive professional environment.
