Our
The Professional Certificate (Pro Cert) Program enables teachers holding the first-level Residency Teacher certificate to advance to the second-level Professional Teacher Certificate. Teachers usually enroll in a Pro Cert Program after the first two years of teaching and may pursue this certificate while enrolled in the UW Bothell M.Ed. Program or in the stand-alone Pro Cert Program.
To be admitted to the Master of Education program at the University of Washington, Bothell, applicants must simultaneously be admitted to the Graduate School of the University of Washington. It is very important to submit application documents by the deadlines listed in the box above.
In addition to the completed application form, the following are required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
3.0 GPA in the last 90 quarter credits or 60 semester credits of graded upper-division coursework
Two copies of official transcripts for the undergraduate degree institution and one copy of post-baccalaureate, and/or graduate institutions attended. For transcripts to be official, they must
The Master of Education program is designed to provide the academic foundations and depth you will need to advance in your career within the education community, take on leadership roles within the profession, and make significant contributions to the future of children, youth, and families.
The Minor in Education is intended to help students develop broad perspectives on the purposes and forms of education and schooling. It consists of 25 credits of coursework. A grade of 2.0 or better is required in each course credited for the minor. Courses taken S/NS may not be counted toward the minor.
