The NLU Educational Specialist post-master’s program in Educational Psychology/School Psychology is designed to give you the qualifications necessary to become a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).
The NLU Certificate of Advanced Study post-master’s program in Educational Psychology/School Psychology is designed for those of you who are professional school psychologists and educators and leads to Type 73 certification.
The NLU master’s program in Educational Psychology/School Psychology is designed to prepare you for the post-master’s Ed.S. program—which provides you with qualifications necessary to become a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Students applying who hold a bachelor’s degree may apply for the master’s program. Students who already hold a master’s in any area of study can apply for the Ed.S. program
How You Will Learn:
Educational Psychology/School Psychology is taught in the traditional model, where students register each term for courses and can take as few or as many as they wish— with faculty advising on the appropriate courses to take at that time.

How to merge theories and practices in guidance and counseling.

The NLU Master’s and Certificate of Advanced Study in Middle Level Education is designed for those of you who want to focus on the unique developmental characteristics of young adolescents and how to provide them with effective educational instruction.

Middle Level Education is taught using a cohort model, which means you will go through the program with the same group of 12-20 students. NLU graduates like the cohort model because of the support and friendships provided by their fellow students throughout the program.

The Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) degree meets all of the requirements for Missouri Certification as an Elementary and Secondary School Guidance Counselor. A unique program feature also meets all of the academic requirements to obtain a Professional Counselor Licensure in Missouri.
