Research activity within the
Appraisal of the MASE & MAME Programs as an integral part of its improvement was conducted by a group of faculty members from the different concerned colleges. A summary of the findings and synthesized suggestions have been considered to institute desired changes for an effective operation of the on-going program for dynamism and vision for excellence in science and technology. Moreover, these envisioned changes cater to the present and future needs of the learner and society. Thus, the new program is MASTER OF SCIENCE EDUCATION (MSciEd)
Objectives
The Master of Science Education program of the department of Science and Mathematics Education aims
GMIT's programmes at Letterfrack are run in partnership with Connemara West (a community and rural development organisation based in North-west Connemara). Since 1987, the partnership has managed and run furniture courses.
The aim of GMIT, Letterfrack is to enable its graduates to contribute to, and influence, the fields of design processes and manufacture of furniture in ways that are innovative, creative and responsive to the needs and development of a quality Irish furniture industry.
Currently, there are currently six courses on offer at Letterfrack:

There are now 18 colleges in CCNU, including the College of Management, Education, Science of Politics and Law, Literature, Studies of History and Culture, Life Science, Economy, Foreign Languages, Physical Science and Technology; 9 departments, including Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Science, Music, Art and Physical Education; more than 50 institutes and research centers, such as institute of Society Science, Pesticide, Applied Physics, Multimedia Research; 49 under graduate courses prepares for bachelor's degree. Apart form the Institute of Professional Technology, Continual Education, International Education, the Training Center of Teachers from Central and Southern China, the Training Center of Educational Administrator

Entry requirements: A good honours degree in Psychology plus a Masters degree in Educational Psychology and professional experience as an Education Psychologist.
Course fees: For entry in 2009/10, the tuition fees are £1,700 per annum part-time for home/EU students. These figures will be subject to a slight increase for entry in 2010/11.
Number of places/applicants: Each year we admit between 6 and 12 new students to the course. There are about 40 students on the course at any one time.
