The proposal of course of Postgraduate in Animation and Education is part of a dynamic enlarged due to the Training Project Department of Education Science and Heritage, the University Portucalense Infante D. Henry aiming to establish ways of support of a science that, in Portugal, starting to be significant and strategic of the Animation in collaboration with education - and to which the existing training is not at all enough.
The University has been a pioneer in Portucalense creation of training for some areas of art, so, again, a proposal an area of great interest to the formation of specialists in that field. Following the dynamics of training, it is therefore of great relevance to establish a post-graduate professionals who qualify working in animation at of education and socio-educational institutions. It is thus giving students a training in the active intervention area, preparing them for professional practice sensitive to current needs. Demand, therefore, offer a course of training and research that has as main objectives the implementation of an interdisciplinary perspective, multi-professional reference and matching needs to structure and adaptation of system itself.

Master of Science in Education: Literacy Programs
The programs in literacy are designed to prepare either prospective or experienced educators to effectively teach and develop literacy skills in children that are essential for success in school and in life-long learning.
A primary aim of the literacy programs is to develop proficiency in providing instruction and assessment in literacy. Another aim is to develop proficiency in organizing and enhancing literacy programs in cooperation and collaboration with other school personnel that results in creating instructional environments that maximize literacy skills in all children.
Literacy (Birth-grade 6) (qualifying for Initial/Professional Certification)
The role of the literacy specialist within the school involves instruction, assessment and leadership that contribute to the development of student reading/writing/thinking/listening in all phases of learning. This program is, therefore, designed for people who already hold New York State certification for teaching, whether provisional/initial or permanent/professional. A minimum of 34 credits is required, including 28 credits of graduate study that must be taken in literacy education. A college supervised practicum in teaching literacy is also required for the literacy certificate.
Successful completion of the program will lead to a Master of Science in Education in Literacy. In addition, successful candidates will be eligible for an initial/professional certificate in Literacy.
Literacy (Birth-grade 6) & Special Education (1-6) (qualifying for initial/professional certification)
This program is designed for people who already hold New York State certification in elementary/childhood education, whether provisional or permanent. A minimum of 43 credits is required. A college supervised practicum in teaching literacy is also required for the literacy certificate.
Successful completion of the program will lead to a Master of Science in Education in Literacy (birth to grade 6) and Special Education (grades 1-6). In addition, successful candidates will be recommended for New York State certification in Literacy (birth to grade 6) and Special Education (grades 1-6).
Literacy (Birth–grade 6) Certification Program
This program is designed for people who already hold New York State certification for teaching, a master’s degree in education and are seeking certification in literacy. Candidates may apply for admittance to the core courses leading to a recommendation for certification upon completing the requirements.
A minimum of 28 credits is required for the Certification Program in Literacy. The Graduate Coordinator must approve any requests for satisfaction of these requirements based on prior credits.

WSU Spokane, in collaboration with WSU Pullman, is pleased to offer two master’s degrees with specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. The specialization offers students rigorous and highly individually tailored programs of study. The degree programs are designed for students with bachelor degrees who have an interest in deepening their knowledge in a specific content area (in or outside the College of Education) as well as educational research in curriculum and instruction. The specialization emphasizes applying research, theory, and evidence-based practices to improve education. The Ed.M. degree in Curriculum and Instruction works nicely with the WSU Professional Certification Program for teachers, and offers several avenues for study on the Spokane campus including online coursework in the areas of literacy and special education.

The Teacher Education Office is the administrative office that is the liaison between the state certification requirements and the College’s teacher education programs and all other programs that lead to certification in the field of education.
The Teacher Education Office works closely with the Graduate Studies Office, the Outreach Coordinator’s Office, and the faculty from the Elementary Education, Special Education, Early Childhood, Secondary, and K-12 programs. This collaboration helps to ensure a successful teacher preparation experience for each student that meets certification requirements and state, regional, and national accreditation standards.

Degree of Musical Education at Institut Universitaire De Formation Des Maitres Nord Pas De Calais
The training of student teachers PLC1 is the first year of their training IUFM in continuity with the teaching at university and in the context of years of training in case of success CAPES. This year training is aimed at both the preparation of competitive examination and awareness of the teaching profession. The preparation of CAPES Education and Choral Music is organized in collaboration between the university and IUFM (Lille 3). The university shall provide the preparation of written and oral, with the exception of the oral test on file, called “didactic” (EOD). It IUFM that supports it.
