Master of Education at Universidad de Medellín

The Master of Education program is offered as an academic courses, part time, which aims to qualify the performance of teachers, through reflection on the new cultural configurations, which are evident in the practices and conceptions of different actors in the educational process

The program links teachers and researchers, who have developments on issues of contemporary education, teachers and the local, regional, national and international, on a face or virtual, from universities in academic excellence. Thus the Master of Education promotes and strengthens the conceptual and practical perspective on inter-and transdisciplinary.

Justification: The significant lack of trained professionals to serve as actual teachers, not to possess the pedagogical and didactic elements that support the teaching-learning process, a problem of great magnitude for the education sector in the country in general and in the department of Antioquia in particular.

The University offers a Master of Medellin where the subject and the principles of education are above forms and instruments, a Master who drink from anthropology, the micro, the philosophy of current practice in ontological hermeneutics and the cultural-historical approach, to provide elements for the analysis of the triad of education, cultural transformation, transformation of the subject. In this sense, it is to propose foundations to guide research on the implications and ways of organizing the educational process in the light of the full recognition of some of the approaches mentioned schools of thought.
