Degrees for Education

The School of Kinesiology and Recreation at Illinois State University is home to a diverse array of undergraduate programs, including Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Physical Education Teacher Education, and Recreation and Park Administration. The school is also home to a number of graduate programs, including Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Psychology of Sport & Physical Activity, Recreation Administration, and Sport Management. The minor in Education consists of 12 or more units in upper division education courses approved by a departmental advisor. It may be particularly useful to students with undergraduate majors or who intend graduate study in a Human Resource Area, e.g., Communications Studies, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Family and Consumer Science, Nursing, Recreation Administration, Social Welfare, Speech Pathology and Audiology, and Vocational Education.
