During the academic year 2004 - 2005, the initial nursery school teacher training program started training with a renewed concept in the first year, focusing on fundamental learning.

In the first year, the emphasis is on self-Solicitud, this will evolve to Solicitud Solicitud for the task and for the other in the second and third year of the training. The first year is your orientation, the second year will deepen and the third year will enlarge your knowledge and competencies.

Teacher Education Department at California State University Bakersfield

The Department of Teacher Education provides a variety of credential programs that include Multiple Subjects and Single Subjects credentials. The Department also provides various pathways to the credential tracks as well as other public service professionals. In addition, there are graduate programs such as the Reading/Literacy Program as well as the Early Childhood Education Programs.

The primary mission of the Department is to prepare highly qualified teachers and professionals to teach in the K-12 public schools and/or work with children and families in various early education settings. This includes developing the necessary knowledge and skill base and inculcating the professional values in terms of performance outcomes dictated by state, regional and national accreditation standards.
